At Parker City United Methodist Church, prayer is at the heart of who we are. We believe in the power of prayer to bring comfort, strength, healing, and hope—and we believe no one should walk through life’s challenges alone. Our Prayer Chain is a committed group of people who faithfully lift up the needs of our church family and community in prayer.
When a prayer request is shared with us, it is communicated quickly and thoughtfully through our secure text-message prayer chain. This allows prayer partners to begin praying right away, no matter where they are. Text messaging helps us:
Respond quickly to urgent needs
Keep our prayer partners informed in real time
Stay connected as a praying community
We take prayer requests seriously and handle them with care.
Only information approved by the person requesting prayer is shared
Sensitive details are kept confidential
Requests are shared only with those committed to praying
If you would like a request to remain private, it will only stay with our pastor as she is the one who writes all prayer request messages.
You may submit a prayer request:
By contacting the church office
By speaking directly with the pastor
You may also let us know if your request is:
For the prayer chain
For the pastor only
For a specific time or ongoing prayer
If you feel called to pray regularly for others, we invite you to join our prayer chain. Prayer chain members commit to:
Praying faithfully for requests received by text
Respecting confidentiality
Responding with compassion and care
If you’re interested in joining, please contact the church office or speak with the pastor.
When you share a prayer request with Parker City United Methodist Church, you are placing it in caring hands and faithful hearts. We will pray. We will support. And we will trust God together.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
